Something new is coming in 2014 — the first-ever NGWA Congressional Drive-in!
How is the NGWA Congressional Drive-in different from the NGWA Washington Fly-in?
Primarily, the NGWA Congressional Drive-in meetings are to take place conveniently in your state.
NGWA will provide you with tips and information on scheduling these congressional meetings during this hour-and-a-half online brown bag session March 3 — but you will be able to make your own appointments.
The week of March 17, 2014 is the target timeframe for these meetings as Congress is scheduled to be on recess and many congressional members will be heading home. However, unlike the NGWA Washington Fly-in, if that week doesn’t work for your schedule, you can arrange a meeting with your congressional members or their staff at an alternate time that is mutually convenient for both parties.
During this “Get Ready for the NGWA Congressional Drive-in” brown bag session, we will provide you with the necessary background information to make your meetings productive. We’ll go over the key parts of a congressional meeting, what issues you may want to discuss, and what handouts are available from us for your use.
The new 2014 Congressional Drive-in should cost you far less than traveling to D.C. and can take place at a time convenient to you. Plus you’ll still get the materials and information you need from us. What a deal!
Registration grants NGWA permission to share with other Congressional Drive-in attendees your contact information for congressional meeting coordination purposes.
