Amy L. Hudson, REM, has more than 13 years of experience as a hydrogeology and geochemical consultant for the mining and environmental industries. She specializes in mine water impacts and issues, geochemical characterization programs, and modeling of mining facilities and the environment.
Hudson has specialized experience performing groundwater modeling of aquifer systems for dewatering, contaminant transport, and remedial alternative evaluation projects (MODFLOW-SURFACT, AquiferTest, WinFlow, and Groundwater Vistas); geochemical modeling of pit lakes, waste rock dumps, and heap leach pads (PHREEQC); saturated/unsaturated zone flow modeling of covers and tailings dams (VADOSE/W, SEEP/W, and SoilCover); and surface water modeling for flood hazard analysis (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, adICPR, HEC-FFA, and HY8).
She has also been involved in a variety of remediation and environmental management projects involving site characterization, mitigation measure development, remediation/restoration plans, site closure, and regulatory compliance activities both in the office and in the field. Additionally, Hudson has experience in quality assurance/quality control program design and implementation on a variety of projects.L
