presented by Liz Battocletti
This brown bag Webinar is brought to you by the NGWA Geothermal Energy Interest Group.
Learn about the status of the three-year effort of the GHPsRUS — “Geothermal heat pumps are U.S.” — Project during this half-hour online presentation.
The use of geothermal heat pump systems (GHPs) in the United States is marginal, despite their high efficiency and minimal greenhouse gas emissions. To evaluate the consequences of broader deployment of GHPs, GHPsRUS, a national cost-benefit analysis for 30 metropolitan regions, was implemented. Supported by the U.S. Department of Energy under the Recovery Act of 2009, the GHPsRUS Project is now in its final year.
