Accelerating the Use of New and Developing Tools and Technologies for Groundwater Monitoring, Modeling, and Management: Theory to Practice
Join with other groundwater professionals from a variety of backgrounds and occupations to identify and discuss ways to speed the crossover from theory to practice in an effort to help solve society’s most vexing water quality and management problems during NGWA’s 2013 Theis Conference.
As a groundwater professional, you already share with your peers the common desire to improve the quality of life through the sustainable management of water resources. Now, to this end, it’s becoming more important than ever to improve on accelerating the progression of new ideas, research findings, and technological innovations to real-world application.
So come share your knowledge, experience, and thoughts on moving ideas and technologies from the development phase to the application phase during this think tank-like event focused on groundwater monitoring, modeling, and management.
presented by Beth L. Parker, Ph.D.
Parker is the NSERC Industrial Research Chair at the University of Guelph in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, whose research interests include groundwater contaminant transport and fate, in situ remediation of groundwater systems, and field instrumentation in aquifer and aquitard regimes.
