Course overview
This one-day course will help you identify and define critical hydrogeological issues in terms that are understandable to policy- and decision-makers on two fronts.
The first relates to facing the containment and treatment of a growing list of new chemical compounds coming under scrutiny in many states, a good number of which have different clean-up criteria, as well as trying to remove these compounds from challenging subsurface environments.
The second is the growing scarcity and increasing demands for water resources, particularly groundwater.
How to best identify and define availability issues related to changing weather patterns that impact water quality and availability, and water laws that impede groundwater development, will be discussed.
