NGWA Foundation

NGWA foundation logo 2017-small.png

Established in 1994, the NGWA Foundation is focused on conducting educational, research, and other charitable activities related to a broader public understanding of groundwater. The Foundation is operated by the National Ground Water Association as a 501(c)(3) public foundation.

As appropriate, the NGWA Foundation's findings are made public via publications, education experiences at major meetings, and public information forums.

Your contributions make the Foundation's gifts possible

Young people are the future of the groundwater science and industry. Those currently in the field will be well served by the encouragement they give to future groundwater professionals.

Realizing this, the NGWA Foundation has launched a campaign to raise more than $1,500,000 for educational initiatives through the Len Assante Scholarship Fund.

The drive is being directed to NGWA members, corporations, and foundations around the country. The funds raised will also help support the Darcy Lecture Series in Groundwater Science Fund, the McEllhiney Lecture Series in Water Well Technology Fund, the Groundwater Research Fund, the Developing Nations Fund, the USA Groundwater Fund, and the 21st Century Fund, an expanded endowment that will provide the following additional benefits. Click here to learn more about the campaign.

  • The Foundation will be enabled to initiate a grant-making program to associations and organizations that can help advance the understanding of groundwater.
  • Grants will be able to be made to selected groundwater professionals from all walks of the workforce to allow them to collaborate with colleagues on cutting-edge projects.
  • Groundwater's international role will be enhanced, particularly in developing countries where severe water crises exist.
For more information on the Foundation's fundraising program, contact Terry S. Morse, CIC, at (800) 551-7379 or (614) 898-7791, ext. 1504, or by sending an email to tmorse@ngwa.org.
