EPA to host a Webinar on its hydraulic fracturing study

The Environmental Protection Agency is hosting a Webinar on its hydraulic fracturing study for industry representatives on February 28 from 2:30-3:30 p.m. ET. As way of background, in the FY10 budget report, Congress directed the EPA to undertake a study specifically on the relationship between hydraulic fracturing and drinking water and groundwater. The study will look at water at every point in its full life cycle within the hydraulic fracturing process.

The Webinar will be the first in a series of updates held in 2012, prior to the release of the preliminary study report. This update will provide the current status of ongoing projects, including case studies and the well file review.
