WESTERVILLE, OH — September 28, 2011) Beverly L. Herzog, CGWP and former member of the National Ground Water Association Board of Directors, has received the 2011 NGWA Robert Storm Interdivisional Cooperation Award.
Herzog was selected for the Storm Award for promoting collaboration, enhancing cooperation, and fostering community among all groundwater professionals.
She is credited with working effectively with the four membership divisions within NGWA. Her efforts include:
Moreover, Herzog helped launch initiatives important to the groundwater industry and the nation’s groundwater resources. For example, she helped design a survey submitted to the states on the current and future understanding of groundwater resources availability and monitoring needs.
In 2010, Herzog retired as assistant to the director for environmental initiatives, Illinois State Geological Survey.
The Storm Award will be presented November 30 at the 2011 NGWA Ground Water Expo and Annual Meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada.
