(WESTERVILLE, OH — September 29, 2011) Charlie Waller, CPI, owner of Uvalde Pump Service in Uvalde, Texas, has received a Life Member Award from the National Ground Water Association for special service in the furtherance of the groundwater industry and NGWA.
In business for more than 25 years, Waller has served in a leadership capacity in the groundwater industry with credits including:
“Charlie lives the missions and objectives of our association — to protect, promote and utilize the groundwater resources for the most beneficial uses,” said TGWA Executive Secretary Leroy Goodson in nominating Waller.
Waller’s service goes beyond the groundwater industry and includes numerous other volunteer roles such as more than 24 years as a volunteer fireman (retired), membership on three Southwest Texas Junior College advisory boards, and serving as an usher at the First United Methodist Church in Uvalde.
This award will be presented December 1 at the 2011 NGWA Ground Water Expo and Annual Meeting in Las Vegas.
