National Ground Water Association

(WESTERVILLE, OH — January 31, 2011) The National Ground Water Association will offer the Webinar, “Well Profiling Technologies, Uses, and Solutions,” on April 20 at 1 p.m. ET.
 
Well owners and operators sometimes face challenges including decreased well yield and efficiency, short-term exceedance of water quality standards, and the onset of chronic exceedance of water quality standards.
 
Information derived from well profiling can be used to assess flow and water quality conditions within a well/aquifer system and to design cost-effective solutions to some problems. Profiling tools have become progressively smaller, making well access easier and less costly with little or no disruption to a well’s operation.
 
Webinar participants will learn:

Those who will benefit from attending the Webinar include public water systems operators, water systems managers, contractors, consultants, regulators, geologists, engineers, and academics and students studying water supply, well construction, and hydrogeology.

 

Participants should have a basic knowledge of groundwater hydrology and well construction/operations.
The Webinar will be presented by Robert J. Collar, PG, CHG, Golden State Water Co., and Michelle Whitman, BESST.
