Short course focuses on groundwater systems and managing groundwater (May 3, 2011)

(WESTERVILLE, OH — May 3, 2011) Understanding the interrelationships of groundwater and surface water, and impacts on water resource management will be the focus of a short course being offered by the National Ground Water Association July 18-19, 2011 in Chicago.
Participants will learn:
The interrelationships between groundwater and surface water on regional and local levels
To recognize regional challenges for water resources, including well systems
How to evaluate chemical and microbiological test ranges.
This course is best suited to land-use planners, environmental scientists, utility managers, and engineers.
The instructor is Michael Schnieders, president of Water Systems Engineering Inc., Ottawa, Kansas.
