Webinar to focus on use of polymers and additives in water well drilling (April 25, 2011)

Page Content
(WESTERVILLE, OH — April 25, 2011) A Webinar on how polymers and additives in water well drilling fluids can modify the behavior of dirt during the drilling process will be offered on May 2, 2011 at 11 a.m. ET by the National Ground Water Association.

Unless drilling contractors match their drilling fluids to soil conditions, the soil conditions can gain control of the drilling process. Polymers and additives are designed to enhance specific characteristics of a drilling fluid in order to modify the behavior of problematic soil conditions, such as reactive clays or flowing sand.

This NGWA Webinar will help drilling contractors identify various soil conditions. By understanding the problems these downhole conditions can present, participants will learn how polymers and additives can be used to exert control over downhole conditions.

This introductory-level Webinar is intended for water well drilling contractors. It will be presented by George Dugan, Southeast regional manager for CETCO Drilling Products Group. He has worked in drilling-related industries for more than 34 years.

To learn more about this Webinar, as well as the many other NGWA educational programs, click on the "Events/Education" menu tab above or call 800 551.7379 (614 898.7791).
