(WESTERVILLE, OH — June 1, 2012) The National Ground Water Research and Educational Foundation awarded a total of $3,000 in Farvolden Awards to four students for paper or poster presentations made at the 2012 NGWA Ground Water Summit that took place in May in Garden Grove, California.
Given in honor of the late Dr. Robert Farvolden, former senior science counsel for the National Ground Water Association, the $750 scholarships were awarded based on the quality of the presentation, content (including contribution to groundwater science, engineering, management, or policy), and demonstrated insight on the chosen topic.
The awards for 2011 through 2013 are underwritten by S.S. Papadopulos & Associates Inc.
