(WESTERVILLE, OH — September 27, 2012) Randy Lyne, president and owner of Fort Worth-based Preferred Pump & Equipment LP, has received a Life Member Award from the National Ground Water Association for special service in the furtherance of the groundwater industry and NGWA.
The award will be presented in December at the NGWA Groundwater Expo and Annual Meeting in Las Vegas.
A 41-year veteran of the groundwater industry, Lyne started Preferred Pump & Equipment in 1982. Since then, it has expanded into 46 branches employing 420 people.
His nominator, Texas Ground Water Association President Jason Cadwallader, spotlighted two of the many ways Lyne has served the groundwater industry.
“Preferred Pump & Equipment conducts five open house events in the spring in Texas, where licensed drillers and pump installers can obtain their continuing education hours for renewal of their licenses annually. Hundreds in Texas take advantage of this opportunity,” Cadwallader said.
“Also, through his business he brings hundreds of licensees and their families from across the United States to the NGWA Groundwater Expo and Annual Meeting. Randy is very deserving of this award,” Cadwallader said.
Additionally, Lyne has been active in NGWA and the TGWA for more than 40 years, having served as a director of TGWA and past president of its Manufacturers and Suppliers Division. In 2001, Lyne received TGWA’s Manufacturer and Supplier of the Year Award.
