(WESTERVILLE, OH — December 10, 2013) The National Ground Water Association’s 2013 Expo that took place December 3-6 in Nashville, Tennessee, was a sound success, posting strong numbers in both attendance and exhibitors.
“The 2013 NGWA Groundwater Expo and Annual Meeting ranks fifth all-time among our non-Las Vegas venues in our 65-year history,” said NGWA CEO Kevin McCray, CAE. “Fresh ideas promised a memorable experience and it looks like folks found that to be true. We hope all of our guests left happy and renewed, and ready for a new and prosperous year.”
More than 3,680 attended the NGWA Expo last week and spanned all sectors of the groundwater industry — water well drillers and contractors, manufacturers and suppliers, scientists and engineers. All 50 United States were represented, along with D.C. and Puerto Rico, and 32 other nations.
In addition to 60-plus hours of educational offerings, guest lecturers, skills testing activities, NGWA award presentations, and nearly 300 exhibitors — more than 30 of which were first-time participants — attendees also had the chance for some fun, including concerts by the Sweethearts of the Rodeo and The Bellamy Brothers.
As succinctly summed up by Alyson McDonald with a posting December 9 on NGWA’s Facebook page, “Outstanding meeting in Nashville.”
The 2014 NGWA Expo — The Complete Groundwater Event — is scheduled to take place December 9-12 in Las Vegas.
NGWA, a nonprofit organization composed of U.S. and international groundwater professionals — contractors, equipment manufacturers, suppliers, scientists, and engineers — is dedicated to advancing groundwater knowledge. NGWA’s vision is to be the leading groundwater association that advocates the responsible development, management, and use of water.
