Membership benefits

NGWA_Student_Image.jpgStudents studying in groundwater-related programs, whether in a university, community college, or a drilling school, are the future of the industry. NGWA recognizes the future by offering many programs for full-time student members including tuition scholarships, a subscription to the NGWA Newszine, professional journals, two lecture series — one on groundwater science and one on water well technology, Career Center, and access to our database of NGWA-published literature abstracts. We also have a Facebook page that will help students like you connect with the professionals in their industry.

To grow your knowledge and your resume, get involved with Hydrogeologists Without Borders. Visit their Web site to see how you can help — www.hwbwater.org. Or for our groundwater engineers, try Engineers Without Borders — www.ewb-usa.org.

NGWA events

There are special benefits available to students at our two biggest annual events, the NGWA Groundwater Summit and the NGWA Groundwater Expo.

  • Present academic papers and posters.
  • Compete in a scholarship competition.
  • Participate in interest groups.
  • Network with industry professionals.

Sponsorship

Ask a mentor to sponsor your membership with NGWA. Have them fill out and return this form to start reaping the benefits of student membership!

Feedback

In order to make sure we are providing our students with all they need to be successful, we want to hear back about how we are doing. What could we do better? What is the most valuable aspect of your membership? Let us know!

For questions about student programs, please contact Rachel Jones at rjones@ngwa.org.
