National Ground Water Association

 

Schwartz is a professor in the School of Earth Sciences and the Ohio Eminent Scholar in Hydrogeology at The Ohio State University. He is a past recipient of NGWA's M. King Hubbert Award as well as the Association's Scientists and Engineers Division's John Hem Award. He is also a fellow of both the American Geophysical Union and the Geological Society of America, and a recipient of the O.E. Meinzer Award from the Hydrogeology Division of GSA. He is also a former GSA Birdsall-Dreiss Lecturer.

 

Schwartz says, "I'm honored to serve the Association in this important role. Our journal, Groundwater, is one of the oldest and most respected journals in the field and has an even more important role to play in the increasingly sophisticated and globalized world of water.I hope that readers will continue to view Groundwater as the home for interesting and unique research and for contributions to our widely read columns."
