(WESTERVILLE, OH — February 15, 2012) The nonprofit National Ground Water Association urges people who own household water wells to visit its Web site Wellowner.org for practical information about how to care for water wells and groundwater.
“A water well system is a complex, engineered system designed to deliver a dependable supply of drinking water,” said NGWA Public Awareness Director Cliff Treyens. “Well owners are responsible for making sure the system is maintained and the water quality safe. Wellowner.org is like an owner’s manual.”

Wellowner.org also can help viewers calculate their water use, determine their water footprint, and find places to properly dispose of hazardous household substances.
