The NGWA Associated State Society Program provides a link to state-level organizations in the ground water industry that are not part of the NGWA Affiliate State Program. With an annual administration fee of just $250, the benefits provide a great service and value to your members.
If you have any questions about this program, contact the NGWA membership department at 800 551.7379 or e-mail customerservice@ngwa.org.
Benefits:
Associate membership
Should your organization have an executive director/secretary, he/she will receive associate member status in NGWA.
Certified contractor, scientists, and engineer names
We will provide your organization with a one-time printout featuring the names of ground water contractors, scientists, and engineers in your state participating in NGWA's voluntary certification programs.
Cosponsorship of events
Events that meet the goals and forward the missions of NGWA and the Associate State Societies may be eligible for cosponsorship. These will be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
Darcy and McEllhiney lectures
We sponsor two annual lectures, the Henry Darcy Distinguished Lecturer Series in Ground Water Science and the William A. McEllhiney Distinguished Lecturer Series in Water Well Technology. We provide the speaker's travel expenses to address your organization's membership. Your organization has only to cover the speaker's hotel and meal expenses for the time they are there making their presentation.
Link to NGWA Web site
We will add a direct link from the NGWA Web site to your organization's Web site. We ask that a link to the NGWA site be placed on your site in exchange.
NGWA director at state meeting
To the best of our ability, we try to send an NGWA national board director or staff member to participate in your annual meeting. In exchange, we ask that your organization provide complimentary exhibit space and/or a forum for the director to be introduced.
NGWA member names
To help our Associated State Societies grow, we provide associations with a one-time printout featuring names of NGWA members found in your state in exchange for a list of your members.
Promotion of your annual events and educational opportunities
NGWA will include information on your meetings and conferences on the NGWA Web site, and in AGWSE Newszine and other applicable publications. The associations are asked to provide similar promotion for NGWA events that it deems appropriate.
Use of the NGWA logo
Your organization may use the NGWA Associated State Society logo on your Web site and in print. An electronic version of the logo will be provided to you.
The Interactive Roles of Surface Water & Ground Water DVD
A 20-minute DVD video animation funded by NGWA and produced by a team from the International Ground Water Modeling Center at the Colorado School of Mines, this tool will help in educating the public regarding the interaction of ground and surface waters in conjunctive-use situations.
