Page charges
There is no charge for the first six typeset, published pages of a research paper or issue paper, or for the first seven typeset, published pages of a review paper. Each additional page of a research or issue paper exceeding the stated limit will be billed to the author at a rate of US $250. Review papers will be billed US $200 per page after the seventh page. To estimate length, assume approximately 950 words per page; reduce that if you have a significant number of equations, subheads, figures, or tables. To estimate figures and tables, reduce to 3 1/4 inches or 8.3 cm (one column) or 7 inches or 17.75 cm (two columns) and determine how many will fit on a 7-inch x 10-inch page. Add to the pages of text to obtain the total number of pages.
Color charges
The charge for color publication is US $250 per color journal page with a minimum charge of four color pages (or US $1,000). The charge for additional pages of color is US $100 per page. The author must sign a charge form agreeing to pay this charge prior to publication. Regular page charges also apply in addition to the color charges.
Exclusive license
NGWA cannot publish any works without a properly effected exclusive license form. Authors still retain all proprietary rights, the right to present the information orally, and the right to reproduce figures, tables, and extracts properly cited.
For more information, please click on the link "Author Forms" in the left navigation menu.
Search engines
It is highly recommended that authors utilize some of the many online search engines to ensure that all publications relevant to their research are identified.
Galley proofs
If your paper is accepted, you will be e-mailed galley proofs prior to publication. The purpose of the galley proofs is to allow authors to review for possible typesetting errors made on our part. Major changes to galley proofs will result in charges to the author of US $50 per change. Regular page charges and color charges still apply.
Please review your paper very carefully prior to submission for factual errors, incomplete references, and general readability of text.
