The Ground Water Law Interest Group fosters the open communication and free exchange of technical ideas, concepts, and innovations, with specific focus on issues of ground water law. Issues of importance to this interest group include, but are not limited to, ground water rights, allocations, sustainability, user-to-user interference, contaminant trespass, the legal aspects of ground water/surface water interaction, land use and development restrictions predicated in notions of ground water quantity and quality protection, and liabilities arising from the overuse, misuse, or contamination of ground water.
Mission
The mission of NGWA's Ground Water Law Interest Group is to foster the exchange of information and ideas on technical and legal measures of protection from ground water overuse, misuse, or contamination.
