Groundwater and Agriculture: Meeting the Demands While Protecting Resources (workshop #172)

Register Now

Date: October 2-3, 2018
Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Join in the discussion regarding how we can best protect and manage groundwater while still meeting agricultural needs during this two-day NGWA workshop.

Providing adequate food and drinking-water supplies in the 21st century will depend on increasingly stressed groundwater resources. Agriculture is the largest user of groundwater, and effects on groundwater’s quantity and quality are a growing concern.

This workshop is intended to bring together groundwater professionals, those involved in food and beverage production, and federal, state, and local officials to share experiences and lessons learned in protecting and managing groundwater in agricultural regions of the central United States.

Group breakout and discussion sessions will be a part of the workshop as well.
