    Private water well owners should test their water regularly for bacteria, nitrate, and anything of local concern, NGWA said today, citing the possibility of arsenic and uranium in some Massachusetts bedrock wells as a local concern.

 Current calls for papers

 
​NGWA routinely posts calls for session proposals, abstracts, and papers for its conferences, as well as proposals for workshops, topical sessions, panel discussions, field trips, and the like for both the annual Groundwater Expo and the annual Ground Water Summit.

Current calls

  • The call for abstracts for the NGWA Conference on Great Plains Aquifers: Beyond the Ogallala taking place October 25-26, 2012 in Omaha, Nebraska is now open. Abstracts must be submitted online and are due by 11:59 p.m. ET, June 29, 2012.
  • A call for session proposals is now underway for the 2013 NGWA Summit — The National and International Conference on Groundwater that will take place in San Antonio, Texas, April 28-May 2. Session proposals must be submitted online and are due by 11:59 p.m. ET, July 31, 2012. Accepted proposals will be posted in August and a call for abstracts issued with a due date of October 22, 2012.
In addition to accepting submissions for NGWA educational events, abstracts for our award-winning peer-reviewed journals Ground Water® and Ground Water Monitoring & Remediation® are accepted year-round.
