Groundwater Monitoring & Remediation

Scope of Groundwater Monitoring & Remediation

Groundwater Monitoring & Remediation is a journal aimed at publishing work concerning:

  • All aspects of groundwater contamination, its consequences, and human responses to it
  • Technical aspects of these issues, including case studies, technology development, and testing
  • Groundwater-surface water interactions related to groundwater pollution
  • Fate and transport modeling
  • The elucidation and investigation of processes such as those influencing contaminant transport and transformation
  • Monitoring of contamination, aquifer characterization
  • Remediation, particularly with an in-situ component
  • Emphasis is placed on field research, but laboratory experiments with clear connections to practical applications are welcome.

Out of the scope of this journal are:

  • Papers emphasizing water resources with an emphasis on water supply
  • Natural water quality papers
  • Ex-situ water treatment
  • Surface water hydrology
  • Laboratory research weakly tied to field investigations involving groundwater.
