Groundwater Monitoring & Remediation is a journal aimed at publishing work concerning:
- All aspects of groundwater contamination, its consequences, and human responses to it
- Technical aspects of these issues, including case studies, technology development, and testing
- Groundwater-surface water interactions related to groundwater pollution
- Fate and transport modeling
- The elucidation and investigation of processes such as those influencing contaminant transport and transformation
- Monitoring of contamination, aquifer characterization
- Remediation, particularly with an in-situ component
- Emphasis is placed on field research, but laboratory experiments with clear connections to practical applications are welcome.
Out of the scope of this journal are:
- Papers emphasizing water resources with an emphasis on water supply
- Natural water quality papers
- Ex-situ water treatment
- Surface water hydrology
- Laboratory research weakly tied to field investigations involving groundwater.
