Groundwater professionals descended upon Nashville, Tennessee, December 14-16 for Groundwater Week 2021 and it was a giant success by all accounts.
The event drew 4,171 attendees, making in the 21st largest NGWA annual conference and the largest ever held outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. Attendees came from all 50 states and represented 16 countries.
They packed more than 30 educational sessions, some of which drew standing-room only crowds. They also visited with 247 exhibiting companies that filled more than 67,000 square feet of exhibit space. Twenty-eight of the exhibitors made their Groundwater
Week debut.
Brian Snelten, PG, became the NGWA president when he was handed the gavel from Merritt Partridge at the NGWA Delegates Meeting. Snelten is an area manager for Layne Christensen, a Granite Company, in Aurora, Illinois.
“From the show room floor to the classroom, Groundwater Week 2021 was a huge success on all fronts, and we’ve been receiving great feedback from our attendees,” said NGWA CEO Terry S. Morse, CAE, CIC.
“But being our first in-person show in two years, this Groundwater Week obviously meant more to people than just receiving their CEUs. It meant an opportunity to reconnect with friends and colleagues, walk the showroom floor, shake hands, and be
reminded again of the all the talented and hardworking people who make up this industry.”
