Representatives push PFAS priorities for 2021 National Defense Authorization Act

April 3, 2020

U.S. Representative Dan Kildee, the chief deputy whip of the U.S. House of Representatives’ Democratic Caucus and cochair of the Congressional PFAS Task Force, sent a letter on April 2 with cochair Brian Fitzpatrick outlining their priorities to address per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in the 2021 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

The letter, addressed to the House Armed Services Committee, was signed by 22 Republican and Democratic members of Congress who are a part of the bipartisan Congressional PFAS Task Force.

PFAS provisions were dropped from the 2020 NDAA as previously reported in December 2019.
