In her extensive career as a geologist and hydrogeologist, Dawn has focused on the prevention of environmental impacts—the backbone of responsible and sustainable mining. Most known for her work on mine closures, due diligence, and public disclosure reporting, she enjoys seeing different mine sites and working internationally.
Dawn’s very involved in the promotion of geology as a profession and has served as president of the American Institute of Professional Geologists—an organization that provides professional certification of geologists and advocates for the geologic profession before government and the general public. She currently serves on the boards of the American Geosciences Institute and the University of Arizona Center for Environmentally Sustainable Mining. Dawn lives in Tucson, Arizona.
