National Ground-Water Monitoring Network announces 2021 funding opportunity

October 15, 2020

The National Ground-Water Monitoring Network announced its 2021 funding opportunity on September 28 and it will close on January 21, 2021.

The U.S. Geological Survey will fund new data providers to select and classify sites within existing monitoring programs, to set up web services that will link the data to the NGWMN portal, and to produce a report describing this process.

Existing data providers can apply for funding to maintain web services and keep site information current. Data providers may also apply for funding to collect data to improve site information, to maintain wells, and to drill new or replacement network wells.

The first webinar detailing the opportunity will be October 15 on Microsoft Teams.
