DoD Environmental Research Program announces funding for environmental restoration

The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Environmental Research Program is seeking to fund environmental research and development in the Environmental Restoration Program area.

The Defense Environmental Restoration Program area focuses on remediating and managing contaminated lands on current and former military installations. It is seeking proposals in these areas:

  • Improved Understanding of the Ecotoxicity of Mixtures of Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS)
  • Improved Understanding of the Ecotoxicity of PFAS in the Marine Environment
  • Improved Understanding of Ecological Toxicity and Risk of PFAS in Avian Species
  • Treatment of PFAS-Impacted Matrices.

Researchers from universities, the federal government, and private industry are encouraged to apply.

Proposals are due January 7, 2021 and should be submitted online.
