Jerry Frick, a former president of NGWA, passed away on October 3. He was 83.

Frick was the president of Walkerville Well Drilling & Supply Co. in Walkerville, Michigan, and was the third generation of the family business. Shortly after graduating high school, he joined the company started by his grandfather, Glen Chase, and worked for years with his father, Lyle, and brother, Robert.
He was president of NGWA in 1988. He was also active with NGWA in its voluntary certification program as a Master Groundwater Contractor (MGWC), the highest level of NGWA certification. He also attended multiple NGWA Fly-Ins in Washington, D.C., to advocate on behalf of the groundwater industry.
Frick served as president of the Michigan Ground Water Association in 1986-1987 and was an honorary member.
His son, Gegory Frick, passed away on November 18, 2024. The vice president of Walkerville Well Drilling & Supply, Gregory was 57.
