Ben Frech, NGWA's Public Relations and Government Affairs Manager, has received his Qualified Association Specialist (QAS) designation through the Association Specialist Program, which is offered by the Florida Society of Association Executives.

The QAS designation is a professional certificate program focused on association management and leadership, covering areas including governance, communications, membership, advocacy, finance, and organizational operations. The program is designed to strengthen the skills and knowledge of association professionals and help them better support the organizations and industries they serve. The Florida Society of Association Executives offers it as it is an accredited provide of Center for Association Leadership courses.
Frech has been with NGWA since 2019. In addition to leading public relations and government affairs efforts for the Association, he also supports NGWA’s Partner States Program, assisting in the management and coordination of state groundwater associations across the country.
With the designation, Frech joins fellow NGWA staff members Trisha Freeman and David Schulenberg in earning the QAS credential. NGWA CEO Terry S. Morse and Vice President Dave Evener hold the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation, the highest professional credential in the association industry.
