Ken Wood of Denton, Maryland, passed away on July 11 after a lengthy illness. He was 82.
Wood, who received the NGWA Life Member Award in 2015, was the owner and operator of Lifetime Well Drilling Co. in Denton. He was internationally known for Lifetime Wells International and its philanthropic mission of drilling for clean water in communities in Ghana and Tanzania as well as restoring eyesight to thousands of people in Africa. Since 2004, more than 3300 water wells have been provided to communities in Ghana and Tanzania.
