NGWA member Travis Russell passed away on July 19. He was 73.
As one of the founders of Russell Drilling Co. Inc. in Nacogdoches, Texas, Travis and his brother, Roger, built Russell Drilling from the ground up. Together, they helped establish a company that has served communities across Texas for more than four decades.
Although Travis retired in 2020, he continued to help long-time customers whenever he had the opportunity and remained deeply invested in the people and communities he cared about.
A prominent member of the Texas Ground Water Association, he received the TGWA Owen F. Jensen Contractor of the Year Award in 1998 and was awarded a Lifetime Membership in 2022.
