Overview:
Viruses are among the key topics of current concern with managed aquifer recharge, particularly with the increased use of treated wastewater as source water. This workshop will cover an overview of viruses of concern, subsurface processes affecting virus fate and transport, methods of modeling viruses and risk assessment, and studies of virus removal. The target audience is scientists, engineers, managers, and regulators working on MAR projects who may have limited knowledge of viruses in groundwater.
