EPA appoints new members to Science Advisory Board Drinking Water Committee

Andrew Wheeler, the acting head of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, announced on January 31 three new members of the Science Advisory Board Drinking Water Committee.

The new members are Dr. Craig D. Adams of Saint Louis University who studies cyanotoxins and water treatment; Dr. Mark LeChevallier, a consultant who focuses on pathogens and water treatment; and Dr. Mark R. Wiesner of Duke University, a specialist in membrane treatment.

The Science Advisory Board Drinking Water Committee provides advice to the EPA administrator on technical matters related to drinking water policy.
