NGWA CEO earns CAE designation

July 1, 2019

Terry S. Morse, CAE, CICNGWA’s CEO Terry S. Morse, who holds a CIC (certified insurance counselor) designation, learned in June he has also earned the certified association executive — or CAE — designation from the American Society of Association Executives.

ASAE states the CAE designation is the marker of a committed association professional who has demonstrated the wide range of knowledge essential to manage an association in today’s challenging environment.

The CAE program began in 1960, and, as of March 2019, there were 4332 CAEs in the professional association and society market.

Morse’s recently earned designation gives NGWA two CAEs on its staff. David Evener, NGWA’s director of operations and technology, earned the CAE in 2014.

“I’m excited and honored to earn the CAE designation,” Morse says. “My goal is for the knowledge and skills learned to benefit our Association, as well as all groundwater professionals, including our Affiliated Organization members, as the NGWA staff and I are working every day on their behalf.”
