Water Well Journal® earned a 2019 APEX Award of Excellence from Communications Concepts, honoring it with other top business publications today.
WWJ’s December 2018 issue was recognized in the category “Magazines, Journals & Tabloids — Print, +32 pages.” The issue focused on the state of the groundwater industry and contained feature articles on the growing water treatment market and resolutions for dealing with water well corrosion.
This marks the 17th consecutive year WWJ has earned an award from Communications Concepts, a group that provides educational information for publishing and marketing professionals.
This, however, is just the second time WWJ has been recognized in the category for overall magazines. It was honored for the first time in 2016. Its other awards through the years have come for writing, covers, and redesigns.
“I’m thrilled the magazine was honored,” WWJ Editor Thad Plumley said. “It’s wonderful that everyone who works on the publication — the writers, editors, designers — were recognized for their hard work. Our goal every issue is to put out the best publication in the groundwater industry.”
All told, the 2019 competition had more than 1,200 submissions in 100 categories.
WWJ has won 31 APEX Awards in its history, the most in the groundwater industry.
