Peter Sears passed away on September 22 in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. He was 79.
Sears was the CEO of Baker Water Systems in Evansville, Wisconsin. He was named a Life Member of NGWA in 2003 and, in 2005, received its Standard Bearer Award, which is presented to an outstanding volunteer involved in the legislative process on behalf of the Association and its initiatives.
Sears came to Baker in 1989 as its president and served at the company until his retirement in 2007. He joined Baker after spending 25 years at E.J. Longyear Co., an international manufacturing firm in Minneapolis.
