NGWA congratulates the Minnesota Water Well Association (MWWA) as it celebrates 100 years of service to the groundwater industry today.

The organization, which was formed in 1922, represents Minnesota’s groundwater professionals including water well contractors, groundwater scientists, pump installers, and manufacturers of groundwater technology.

The MWWA will be celebrating its 100-year anniversary as part of its annual trade show taking place today through Wednesday in Minneapolis.

To further recognize MWWA’s 100 years of service to the state of Minnesota, Governor Tim Walz declared January 31 as “Minnesota Water Well Association Day” through a state proclamation.

“Groundwater is undeniably one of the most precious resources we have here in Minnesota,” MWWA Executive Director David Schulenberg, QAS, said, “which is why I think our association has maintained for 100 years.

“The people in our industry are passionate about their work because they see every day how vital it is for our communities, our health, and our future. We’re honored to work in this great industry and be a part of this association.”
