National Ground-Water Monitoring Network 2023 funding opportunity announced

October 24, 2022

The National Ground-Water Monitoring Network (NGWMN) 2023 funding opportunity is now open and runs through January 26, 2023.

The U.S. Geological Survey will award up to $1.7 million in cooperative agreements to support participation in the NGWMN in 2023. Interested agencies may apply online at Grants.gov under funding opportunity number G23AS00358. More information about the cooperative agreements is available on the NGWMN Cooperative Agreements page.

One of the biggest changes to the 2023 program announcement is the requirement to submit a NGWMN Proposal Checklist as part of the proposal. This new requirement, along with other changes to the program announcement, will be discussed at NGWMN information sessions.

The sessions are being held to answer questions about the program announcement. All applicants are strongly encouraged to attend one of the sessions. The sessions will be held in Teams meetings.

For questions about the funding opportunity, contact Jason Fine at jmfine@usgs.gov, or Daryll Pope at dpope@usgs.gov.
