Staff from NGWA and Oklahoma State University are exhibiting together at the National Science Teaching Association National Conference in Atlanta, Georgia.
The event, March 22-25, is where science educators meet annually and present new ideas and best practices in education.
NGWA Marketing Manager Haleigh Contino and Marketing Coordinator Maggie Herrmann are working at a booth with members of OSU’s College of Arts and Sciences in the event’s exhibit hall. The exhibit hall is filled with the latest products available in science and STEM education.
The NGWA/OSU booth is showcasing the Awesome Aquifer 360, a digital groundwater model that can be utilized in classrooms and signing up teachers who want to participate in The Groundwater Foundation’s Sponsor a Classroom program.
Classrooms that are sponsored get five physical Awesome Aquifer Kits, teaching guides, and access to the digital lab for free. So far 230 classrooms have been sponsored in 41 states and have reached nearly 6500 students.
Individuals wanting to sponsor a classroom can do so for $500. You can choose a specific classroom or have your donation apply to a classroom on a waiting list. Click here to learn more.
