Groundwater Week 2023 opens today in Las Vegas

The National Ground Water Association’s Groundwater Week 2023 opens today in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Industry professionals, including groundwater contractors, scientists, engineers, manufacturers, and suppliers, from all over the world are attending the three-day event. It features education, an exhibit hall, networking opportunities, and fun opportunities to celebrate NGWA’s 75th anniversary.

Today’s schedule is highlighted by dozens of educational sessions on a variety of topics. Sessions designed for contractors include Casing Advancement 101, Drilling Basics — Breakdown of Basics and All of the Questions You Want Answered, and a Motor Symposium featuring multiple industry manufacturers.

There is also a panel titled “Case Study: NGWA Building Geothermal Retrofit” that will provide an overview of the geothermal retrofit project that is underway at NGWA’s headquarters in Westerville, Ohio.

The Science & Engineering Forum taking place at the same time features sessions on groundwater remediation, groundwater modeling, and more.

The day concludes with the annual NGWA Welcome Party that is sponsored by Franklin Electric, Baker Water Systems, NGWA, International Ground Source Heat Pump Association, and Groundwater Foundation.
