As January is National Radon Action Month, NGWA’s best suggested practice, Reducing Problematic Concentrations of Radon in Residential Water Well Systems, aids groundwater professionals at industry jobsites.
The eight-page NGWA document provides:
    - Background in health and safety effects from exposure to excessive radon levels

    - Geologic and land use settings’ effects on radon concentrations

    - Well construction and siting methodologies to reduce the risk of radon intrusion

    - Sampling and treatment methods for residential water wells impacted by radon’s presence.

The BSP is free to NGWA members; there is a fee for nonmembers.
