NGWA to host its first-ever virtual fly-in

March 4, 2022

The Association will host the 2022 NGWA Smart Water Policies Virtual Fly-In April 26-27. This first-of-its-kind event will give attendees the opportunity to advocate for the issues that impact the groundwater industry from the comfort of their home, office, or drill rig.

The 2022 NGWA Smart Water Policies Virtual Fly-In will focus on two days of advocacy surrounding the groundwater industry’s most pressing issues while utilizing a completely virtual format.

Attendees will meet virtually with their representatives in Washington, D.C., and be given the opportunity to discuss policy priorities such as workforce development and supply chain issues, new CDL requirements, PFAS and emerging contaminants, and various new environmental regulations impacting groundwater.

Once registered, NGWA will schedule attendees’ virtual meetings or phone calls with their representatives’ offices in Washington, D.C. NGWA will also help prepare attendees with a virtual prep-session and a document of NGWA policy priorities.

The 2022 NGWA Smart Water Policies Virtual Fly-In will include:

  • Two virtual educational sessions covering supply chain disruptions and national water policies
  • Online advocacy opportunities
  • Prep-session with information on NGWA policy priorities and tips for successful meetings with representatives.

“While we are unable to meet in Washington, D.C., this year, we still wanted to provide our members an opportunity to have their voice heard,” NGWA Public Relations and Government Affairs Manager Ben Frech said. “And, because there are so many pressing issues facing our industry, we think people will respond to this new format and be eager to participate in the Fly-In.”

The fees for the Fly-In are $25 for members and $100 for nonmembers. Registration closes April 11. Click here to learn more and register.
