• Steven P Loheide II, PhD
    Dr. Steven Loheide is the Distinguished Professor of Water Resources Engineering in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Geological Engineering, Freshwater and Marine Sciences and Water Resource Management at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He received his BS in Environmental Chemistry and Geology from the University of Northern Iowa (1999), MS in Geology from Indiana University (2001), and PhD in Hydrogeology from Stanford University (2006). As an ecohydrologist, Loheide’s research focuses on the interactions between ecological and hydrological processes in natural and built systems with special attention to the role of groundwater. His approaches use a combination of field data, remote sensing, and numerical modeling to understand the feedbacks between vegetation patterning, plant water use, soil moisture availability, groundwater regimes, stream-aquifer interactions, and agricultural and urban water management. This work is focused on improving the scientific basis for stream, floodplain, meadow, and wetland restoration efforts; quantifying the provisioning of hydrologic ecosystem services under current and future scenarios; and evaluating interactions among groundwater and urban, agricultural, and natural environments.
  • Dr. Raj Basu

    Dr. Raj Basu is on the Management faculty in the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University. Additionally, he is a Special Advisor to the President and the faculty advisor for President’s Leadership Society at Oklahoma State University – Tulsa. Prior to returning to faculty, Dr. Basu served 15 years as the Vice-President for Academic Affairs for OSU-Tulsa. He received his MBA from Duke University and his Ph.D. from Purdue University.

    Shanna is a licensed Professional Geologist in Minnesota and Certified Professional Geologist through the American Institute of Professional Geologists (AIPG). Shanna earned a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. She’s worked in both private and public sectors as a hydrogeologist/project manager and is currently the Brownfield Program Coordinator for the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. Shanna served as President of AIPG in 2024. She is passionate about geoscience outreach, whether speaking about volcanoes with school children or discussing geoscience careers with students.

    In her extensive career as a geologist and hydrogeologist, Dawn has focused on the prevention of environmental impacts—the backbone of responsible and sustainable mining. Most known for her work on mine closures, due diligence, and public disclosure reporting, she enjoys seeing different mine sites and working internationally.

    Dawn’s very involved in the promotion of geology as a profession and has served as president of the American Institute of Professional Geologists—an organization that provides professional certification of geologists and advocates for the geologic profession before government and the general public. She currently serves on the boards of the American Geosciences Institute and the University of Arizona Center for Environmentally Sustainable Mining. Dawn lives in Tucson, Arizona.

    Anja Frazier is a seasoned leader with over 20 years of experience in the equipment financing industry. Her career began as an International Area Manager for a global equipment financing firm. She later held key leadership roles at SL Financial Services and SCG Capital, ultimately serving as Vice President, where she led major client initiatives across the heavy equipment sector.

    In 2012, Frazier joined BAUER Equipment America, and in 2021, she founded and now leads BAUER Financial Services as CEO. Under her leadership, the division has expanded access to tailored financing solutions for customers of all sizes and for dealers in the water well industries.

    Recognized for her deep expertise and credibility among both customers and lenders, Frazier is a frequent speaker on equipment finance and investment planning. She has presented at numerous local and regional industry associations and is a returning speaker at the Jubilee, now presenting for the third consecutive year. 

    In 2022, she was named one of the Top Women in Equipment Finance by Monitor Magazine and was featured in World Wide Drilling Resource for her insights on removing financial stress from major purchases. She also regularly publishes articles in both national and international industry magazines on equipment financing and related topics.

    As State Engineer of Colorado, Jason leads the Division of Water Resources, overseeing water rights administration, well permitting, dam safety, water well construction, and public education on water use.

    Scott Bradford is the Research Leader and a Supervisory Soil Scientist in the USDA, ARS, SAWS Unit. He is a fellow of the Soil Science Society of America, fellow of the American Society of Agronomy, recipient of the 2019 Don and Betty Kirkham Soil Physics Award, and the Editor-in-Chief for Critical Reviews in Environmental Science and Technology (2017-2020). Dr. Bradford has authored over 158 publications on a wide variety of topics in soil physics, contaminant hydrology, and environmental engineering. His research focus is currently on managed aquifer recharge.

    Grant Ferguson is a professor of hydrogeology in the Department of Civil, Geological and Environmental Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan. He also holds a joint appointment in the School of Environment and Sustainability at the University of Saskatchewan and is an adjunct professor at the University of Arizona and University of Waterloo. Ferguson holds a B.Sc. from the University of Waterloo and a Ph.D. from the University of Manitoba. His research focuses on the hydrogeology of deep groundwater systems, paleohydrogeology, the hydrogeology of the Canadian Prairies and sustainable development of groundwater resources. Ferguson is currently vice president, North America for the International Association of Hydrogeologists and has served as President of their Canadian National Chapter. He is also an associate editor for the journal Groundwater.

    Sarah Fakhreddine is an environmental engineer and geochemist studying the processes that control contaminant and nutrient mobility in groundwater. Her work focuses on developing a diverse portfolio of water management solutions that account for complex biogeochemical interactions in order to protect water quality for human and ecosystem health. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. Prior to her current role, she completed a postdoctoral research fellowship in sustainable water resources at the University of Texas at Austin and served as a fellow with the Environmental Defense Fund working on implementation of sustainable groundwater management practices in the Western United States. She holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Earth System Science and M.S. in Environmental Engineering and Science from Stanford University.
